How supermarket refrigeration is HEATING UP the planet

Pssssst…! Did you know… leaky, old fashioned fridges and freezers in your supermarket are still causing climate change?

Welcome back to the Environmental Investigation Agency’s second supermarket refrigeration survey. In the past year many of you have been involved in the Chilling Facts campaign, joining calls for supermarkets to stop using global warming gases in their refrigeration systems. And it’s working! Thanks to your actions four retailers have committed to going HFC-free. But so far only 46 stores across the UK have been converted to climate friendly refrigeration and we still have a long way to go in persuading some of the laggards to clean up their act.
